Content Drawer Overview
The Content Drawer is the command center for your schedule’s data. Located on the left side of the Vellum Editor, it allows you to inject Revit parameters, manage blank columns, apply complex logic, and load predefined data schemas.
While the Style Drawer (on the right) makes your table look good, the Content Drawer ensures it is actually displaying the right information.

Managing Data Schemas
Section titled “Managing Data Schemas”Vellum allows you to treat your schedule structures as reusable templates. Instead of rebuilding a complex Room Finish matrix from scratch for every project, you can use the Schema Manager.
- Loading a Schema: Use the dropdown at the top of the drawer to select a predefined schema. Note: Loading a schema will append or overwrite your current columns and formatting rules.
- Saving a Schema: Click the save icon next to the dropdown to save your current column arrangement, active parameters, and logic rules. This makes it instantly available for future Vellum sessions.
The Accordion Engine
Section titled “The Accordion Engine”Because schedules can require dozens of different tools, the Content Drawer uses an exclusive “Accordion Engine.” Only one toolset can be open at a time. This intentional design choice prevents the drawer from becoming a massive, infinitely scrolling list, keeping your workspace clean and focused on the task at hand.
